Faith with deeds

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26

As it is written in the book of James, we can see that faith that lacks works cannot produce any results.

The Bible lets us understand there is a dead faith! It is a theoretical faith without any substantial evidence to show for it. One of the reasons we as believers need to understand real practical Biblical faith today is because the Bible states clearly that “the just shall live by faith!” Habk 2:4, Rom1:17. However what do we see today? So many people are trying to use the grace to cover-up their responsibility and trying to give excuses for their laxity on so many things that need to be dealt with through taking spiritual responsibility.

Many forget that the same Bible says we should fight the good fight of faith. “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” 1Timothy 6:12. So faith alone without corresponding actions is dead. Faith is a fight! The good news however is that it is a good fight! Jesus won the battle so that we too should win but you don’t win unless you fight!

You hear something like we don’t need to fight anymore, they forget that our battles are not carnal battles anymore, but they are spiritual battles otherwise called spiritual warfare.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2. Cor. 10:3-5

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12 We still need to wrestle and these are the things we do through fasting and prayer and spending quality time in God’s Word. We are speaking the right words always, maintaining a good confession of our faith, we live in the Spirit and also walk in the Spirit. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Gal. 5:25

You need to know that the devil won’t let go of anything that belongs to you easily. You will have to fight for it. He is a thief who enjoys stealing from you and withholding whatever belongs to you for as long as you are ignorant of your inheritance in Christ and how to possess it. This is why the Scriptures say “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matt11:12 We are not taking it by force from God because God is NOT withholding anything good from us His Kingdom children! Ps84:11 says “For the LORD God is a Sun and Shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will He WITHHOLD from them that walk uprightly.”(Emphasis mine)

We are taking it by the force of faith from Satan who is withholding from us! You’ve got to fight the good fight of faith for your marriage, fight the good fight and lay hold on the victory of Jesus over your children, your health, your finances, your ministry and everything that pertains to you!

Seeking always to be filled with the Spirit of God because by strength nobody can prevail. “For by strength shall no man prevail.” 1Samuel 2:9b

Faith is not just sitting and expecting things to move on their own, rather you put your faith to work. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” James 2:14-17 So faith without deeds is dead says the word of God.

In Life Kingdom Church this month God is raising us to another level of faith in Him for greater exploits!

God bless you!
