The Winning Faith

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.“ 1 John 5:4

We overcome the world with our faith. A winning faith is a faith with deeds. Remember James let us understand that as long as your faith is not with action, it is a dead faith. “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.“ James 2:17

If you keep confessing that you have faith, without action to back up your claims, you are not going to win. This is because the devil believes also and even trembling but his faith is fake faith. “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.“ James 2:19

The winning faith is a faith with action. The winning faith is the faith drawn from the living Word, to produce living proofs by obedience. As long as you are not obedient to the revealed Word of God, your faith is a dead faith according to James 2:26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Winning faith is not just believing that God can do something, it is being moved to do something to prove that you believe. Abraham proved that by being obedient to God’s command and He was justified for that. “Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and byworks was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. James 2:21-23

You see that you need an understanding of what true faith is. This is so important because without it, it is impossible for you to please God. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.“ Hebrews 11:6

Winning faith obeys what God says no matter what surrounds it. Take note of this: faith is no mere confession; faith is a great profession! “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised.)“ Hebrews 10:23

Therefore it is not what you confess alone that you possess but what you profess and confess is what you possess. It is in the doing of what He says that you possess what He has promised. The practice of faith plus the confession of faith is what results in your possession. That is what is called the winning faith because your obedience to God’s Word is what makes the difference in your walk of faith with God.

Confessing is all about speaking; which we need to do, but professing is all about manifesting, demonstrating or practising whatever skill you have acquired. When some people hear about faith they just want to settle for whatever is convenient for them, but ignore whatever requires their responsibility. They would go about declaring, “What I confess, I possess!“ Some keep confessing but are not possessing yet they do not bother to find out what is wrong. They keep confessing until they are confused.

In Life Kingdom Church this month , God is raising us to another level in faith by revealing to us what it takes to possess great faith which is the winning faith.

Don’t miss it for anything!

God bless you!
